My settings weren’t restored after an event
During an event we save your existing battery settings, switch your battery to export, then put your original settings back afterwards. It can take up to 30 minutes after an event for settings to revert, but it usually happens automatically within that time.
Once in a while that last step doesn’t complete, and your battery is left on the wrong mode. This can cause your system to export or import energy at different times and rates than your preferences. It’s straightforward to put right yourself, and the steps depend on your manufacturer. You can find instructions below.
Report it to us
If your battery settings have repeatedly not restored after an Axle event and you'd like our team to investigate, you can report it to our technical team following these steps:
Log into your Axle account
Select Account
Select Support
Select Report an event issue
Select Settings failed to revert and submit your details
In addition to reporting it, please follow the manual reset instructions below.
Reset your system manually
Reporting the issue to us means we can improve our systems to try to prevent the problem happening again. You still need to also reset your system manually yourself following these steps:
GivEnergy
Most GivEnergy cases can be fixed in the app or Monitoring Portal without touching isolators:
Log into the GivEnergy portal at givenergy.cloud. The app works too, but the portal is more reliable for stubborn settings.
Go to Inverter Settings or Remote Control.
Click the refresh wheel icon next to each setting to pull the current values from the inverter.
Re-apply your normal operating mode, export limits, charge and discharge schedule, and reserve percentage.
Save or send the changes. You may need to save twice on some settings to force the update.
Check the live dashboard to confirm your system is back to its pre-event behaviour. If the wrong mode sticks or the changes don’t hold, do a full power cycle with the AC, DC and battery isolators off for five minutes, then back on in reverse order. If it persists, contact GivEnergy support or your installer.
Fox ESS
Fox ESS settings can usually be fixed in the FoxCloud app without power cycling:
Log into FoxCloud.
Go to the work mode or operating mode section.
Set it back to your normal mode, for example Self-Use.
Re-apply your export limits, charge schedule, or any other pre-event settings.
Tap Save or Submit.
Wait a couple of minutes and check the inverter is behaving as expected. If the app shows a write-failed message or the settings snap back, refresh the page or force a re-sync, then save again. Only if that fails, do a full power cycle using the battery switches and AC and DC isolators. If it persists, contact Fox ESS support or your installer.
SolaX
SolaX inverters almost always allow reversion via the SolaxCloud app, with no power cycle needed at first:
Open the SolaxCloud app.
Go to Work Mode or Operating Mode.
Select your normal pre-event mode, for example Self-Use.
Re-set export limits, charge times, and any other parameters.
Save the changes, making sure you tap Save on every screen.
The inverter should pick up the new settings quickly. Confirm on the app or the inverter’s screen. If the settings still don’t apply, a quick power cycle usually clears it: DC off, AC off, wait two minutes, then DC on and AC on. Otherwise contact SolaX support or your installer.
Solis
Try adjusting the settings in the SolisCloud app first, as no power cycle is needed in most cases:
Open SolisCloud and go to the inverter’s settings.
Re-select your normal operating mode, for example Self-Use or Back-up.
Confirm or re-enter your usual export limit, charge and discharge times, and any other custom parameters.
Save the changes.
The inverter should apply the settings within a few minutes. Check the app to confirm. If they still don’t stick, do a simple power cycle with the AC isolator off, wait one minute, then AC back on, or contact Solis support or your installer.
If this didn't work, please try logging into your Axle account, select Settings, select Troubleshooting, and then select 'Remove Solis Dispatch Mode'.
SigEnergy
SigEnergy users can switch the mode manually in your SigEnergy app.
