Will taking part affect my battery or its warranty?

No. Everything we do stays within your manufacturer’s safety limits, and exporting during an event is very similar to the normal daily charging and discharging your battery already does. There’s no extra wear beyond typical use, and it won’t void your warranty.

If there’s a power cut, your safety comes first. Most batteries automatically prioritise powering your home and cancel any grid export when they switch to backup mode.
