Where does the £1/kWh come from

Edited

Your battery earns value in a few different ways at once: supporting the grid when it’s under stress, trading energy, and helping your local network at the moments it matters most.

Rather than paying you a different, fluctuating amount for each of those, we bundle it all into one simple, predictable rate: £1 per kWh you export during an event. Behind the scenes the markets don’t always line up exactly with event times or prices, but events are timed to match the periods when the grid is under the most pressure.
